Slow websites lose visitors. Practical ways to keep your site fast on mobile networks.

Visitors on mobile data are quick to leave a page that takes too long to load. Speed affects both how customers feel about your business and how search engines rank your pages.

Keep images light

Large photos are the most common cause of slow sites. Resize and compress images, and use modern formats where possible.

Avoid unnecessary effects

Heavy animations, autoplay videos and many third-party scripts slow pages down. Use them only where they genuinely help.

Use reliable hosting

Fast, well-located hosting reduces the time before a page starts to appear.

Test on a real phone

Open your site on an average phone over mobile data. If it feels slow to you, it feels slow to your customers.
